Global networking and capacity building opportunities

Societies of prevention research (SPR and EUSPR) as well as the society of substance use prevention and treatment workforce (ISSUP) offer many possibilities for networking and capacity building.

Research Communities:
The US based Society for Prevention Research (SPR) is dedicated to advancing scientific investigation on the etiology and prevention of social, physical and mental health, and academic problems and on the translation of that information to promote health and well being. The multi-disciplinary membership of SPR is international and includes scientists, practitioners, advocates, administrators, and policy makers who value the conduct and dissemination of prevention science worldwide.

The European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR) promotes the development of prevention science, and its application to practice so as to promote human health and well-being through high quality research, evidence based interventions, policies and practices.
