The key objectives of the Dublin North East Drugs Task Force are:

To promote a greater awareness, understanding and clarity of the dangers of drug misuse in the area. To enable those with drug problems access to treatment and other supports which will allow the individual re-integrate into society. To reduce harm caused by drug misuse to individuals, families and communities. To strengthen existing partnerships in and with communities and build new partnerships to tackle drug misuse. Have available data to examine the extent of drug misuse in the Dublin North East area.

Drugsdotie

The mission of the Drugsdotie is to help individuals, families and communities prevent and/or address problems arising from drug and alcohol use. The website provides:

  • national database of treatment & rehabilitation, information & support, counselling, education & training services
  • drug and alcohol related videos, documentaries, conference talks and podcasts
  • daily news updates on all drug and alcohol related issues
  • booklets & guides on drugs
  • information on training courses relating to drugs and alcohol

Growth Project

GROWTH PROJECT is a registered national, non-governmental, non-profit making organization formally constituted in 2003. The organization is committed to support marginalized women and children/youth including their families in Kenya by enabling them to have access to health and drug abuse elimination, social and economic services, improved livelihoods and environmental conservation.
One of the priority programmes is to help substance abusers overcome their addictions and also address the issue of poverty and hopelessness and other underlying issues that lead to substance abuse.

Aberdeenshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership

The purpose of the Aberdeenshire Alcohol & Drug Partnership (ADP) is to:

  • Develop an agreed 3 year strategy for alcohol and other drugs and engage partner agencies to contribute to its implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate implementation of the strategy and its measurable outcomes. Revise the strategy and influence performance accordingly.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of the ADP Sub-Committees and ensure effective use of ADP funds in the achievement of the strategic goals.

AYON. Association of Youth Organizations Nepal

Association of Youth Organizations Nepal (AYON) is a not-for-profit, autonomous and youth led network of youth organisations established in 2005. It acts as an umbrella organisation and provides a common platform for collaboration, cooperation, joint actions and collective endeavour between youth organisations in Nepal. Biography: 
I am a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist who has been working in the field of drug abuse prevention, treatment, harm reduction, Relapse Prevention and drug abuse epidemiological research. I hold an MBBS, Diploma in Psychological Medicine and Master of Health Science (Mental Hygiene from Johns Hopkins University in 1998. I founded SARA with the aim of studying the risk factors of drug abuse and drug abuse epidemiology through research and conducting drug abuse prevention interventions in the community. At the moment, SARA, a local NGO is deeply involved in harm reduction interventions which also include family and community-based approaches in primary prevention of drug abuse. SARA is working in 10 townships in 3 Regions of Myanmar.

Kris Bosworth, Ph.D. has been the Smith Endowed Chair in Prevention and Education and Professor in in Educational Leadership the College of Education at the University of Arizona since 1998. She received her Master’s in Counseling (1975) and Doctorate in Educational Evaluation (1988) from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Prior to coming to the University of Arizona, she was on the faculty at Indiana University and was a visiting scientist on the Youth Violence Prevention Team at the CDC. Dr. Bosworth has worked with schools and districts to improve the lives of children through improving school climates and cultures. She has developed award winning behavior change interventions and has over 3 decades of experience helping administrators and teacher leaders asses needs, plan and monitor educational change. In the Educational Leadership program, she works with aspiring and practicing leaders to help implement change and to increase the protective nature of school cultures and climates. In partnership with the Arizona Department of Public Education, the Protective Schools model is currently the center piece of a Safe and Secure Schools (S3) grant that engages 14 high risk school districts throughout Arizona in developing and implementing multi-faceted school safety plans.
