Youth Diversion Program

Youth Diversion has delivered evidenced based quality programs to assist youth and their families to make positive changes and choices in their lives. We employ 15 professionals to deliver our services and rely on up to 150 volunteers a year who contribute more than 12000 hours of support to our youth. We offer a cognitive skills program for at risk youth who need additional support in the area of decision making, goal setting, communication and conflict resolution. We also have been embedding Restorative Practices within our local school board and community.

Pathway to Prevention

Pathway to Prevention focuses on reducing teen substance use and abuse via parental awareness and education. We provide evidence-based tools and resources to parents and schools in a way that is easy for parents and schools to access, distribute and share. For example, we've developed a series of Messages from the Principal that any school administrator can plug into their email to a parent, PTSA newsletter or school site home page. We know that parent-youth conversations can play a significant role in prevention, and we make those accurate and effective conversations possible.
